The 4th of July is just right about the corner so I got to thinking.. we need a 4th of July menu and we need it NOW.
Below are some of my favorite things to make on this glorious glorious holiday.
From crockpot baked beans (so easy, so good) to jalapeño dill egg salad, you’re bound to find something to make and munch on this weekend.
So, without further ADO- let’s dig in!
Crockpot Baked Beans, aka “Reunion Beans”– these are seriously the best baked beans I’ve ever had! Throw everything in the crockpot and let it do it’s thing. Doesn’t get any easier.
Classic Pasta Salad– every summer party needs a pasta salad and this one is classic, simple, and always a hit.
Jalapeño Dill Egg Salad– Whether you’re at home, at the lake, or on a small family vacation, having a bowl of egg salad around to snack on is ideal. This lightened up version is so delicious and super easy to throw together.
Tomatoes with Basil and Burrata– Gimme allllll the fresh summer tomatoes. This is quite possibly my favorite appetizer/snack of them all. Fresh tomatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, basil, and burrata is truly all you need in life. Hands down MUST HAVE.
Watermelon Mint Salad– I mean, c’mon, does it get any prettier than fresh watermelon with vibrant green mint? I don’t think so. It also doesn’t get any more refreshing. I could and would eat this whole tray.
The only Breakfast Casserole you will ever need! Make-ahead breakfast casserole that’s perfect for the whole family! Make it the night before and all you’ll have to do is pop in the oven the next morning. Perfect for weekends at the lake or comfy weekends at home.
Watermelon Radish and Avocado Carpaccio– two words: simple & fresh. It also makes for a lovely presentation as it plates nicely. Such a good mid-afternoon or poolside snack paired with a cold topo Chico. Yes please.
Charred Corn Salsa- YUM. This is a perfect dip to keep around for when your belly starts growling. Dig in with tortilla chips or put on top of grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, you name it. Fresh and so divine.
Jalapeño Mango Salsa– I’m clearly all about the salsas. I love keeping fresh, homemade, simple salsas around because they make for the perfect snack. This Jalapeno Mango Salsa is no exception. Pairs perfectly with blackened salmon and cilantro lime rice. Or just eat with chips!
Lemon Herb Orzo Salad– the perfect summertime side dish! Pairs well with grilled chicken, steak, kebabs, anything!
Pistachio Pesto Pasta Salad– I love any and all pasta salads and this one is unique and so yummy. Homemade pesto with salty pistachios, fresh basil, lemon, and EVOO. You will LOVE this dish.
Pico De Gallo– ALWAYS a good idea. I love coming inside from a warm summer day to munch on this fresh pico de Gallo. Just doesn’t get much better.
Mediterranean Orzo Pasta Salad– Again, can you have too many pasta salad recipes at your summer BBQ? No, absolutely not. This one is loaded with veggies, pesto, and orzo and just hits the spot every time.
Grilled Chicken with Tomato Cucumber Salad– this platter screams summer, it’s so easy to throw together, and PERFECT for entertaining. And, it can all be made ahead of time for an easy, breezy lunch or dinner.
Grilled Steak and Arugula Salad– Um, hello gorgeous. Perfectly grilled steak on a bed of lemony arugula. Heck to the yes.
Grilled Caesar salad– have you ever grilled romaine before? If not, NOW is the time!! Don’t think any longer, just do it! It’s SO good. You could pair with any dressing, but my homemade lemony caesar is seriously so good.
Chili Lime Grilled Chicken with Charred Corn Salsa– a simple, summery dinner that is also light, healthy, and SO tasty. Grilled Chicken topped with an easy charred corn salsa. The whole family will love!
Summer Peach Salad with Avocado and Goat Cheese– FAVE summertime salad right here! So fresh, SOOO delicious. Trust me on this one!
4th of July Rice Krispy Treats– One thousand percent YES!!! Obviously a must have item.
S’mores Bars– possibly my favorite thing in the entire world. All of the flavors of a s’more in one bite. Make a double batch of these because they won’t last long!!!
Strawberry Frose– Yes, of course you need it. You might also want to go ahead and make a double batch as these won’t last long! Sip Sip Hoooray!!
Wishing you all a safe, healthy, and happy Fourth!! As always, if you make any of these delicious treats, if you would be so kind to tag me on instagram or leave a review here on the blog, that is SO greatly appreciated!!!
