These 4th of July Rice Krispy treats are a red, white, and blue dessert that only require a few ingredients and are the perfect fun and festive treat to make for any patriotic party! They are quick and simple to make, and boy are they tasty. I could seriously eat the entire batch by myself, but we all know that wouldn’t end well.
I have always loved rice Krispy treats ever since I was little. Mainly because they are a no-fuss, no-bake dessert that are so easy to make but also SO yummy. I also typically have all the items on hand which makes it even easier!
These 4th of July Rice Krispies are really delicious and fun, and are always the first to go at any BBQ, party, or gathering.
Here is what you will need to make these Easy Rice Krispy Treats!
- 6 T butter
- 1 large bag of miniature marshmallows
- 5-6 c rice crispy cereal
- 12 oz white chocolate baking pieces
- 3 oz red, white, and blue sprinkles
- Star shaped cookie cutter
- Parchment or wax paper

4th of July Rice Crispy Treats
These 4th of July Rice Krispy Treats are a super easy no-bake dessert. They are festive, delicious, and always a hit!
- Yield: 18 rice crispy stars 1x
Ingredients
- 6 T butter
- 1 large bag of miniature marshmallows
- 5–6 c rice crispy cereal
- 12 oz white chocolate baking pieces
- 3 oz red, white, and blue sprinkles
- star shaped cookie cutter
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium-low heat, being careful not to burn it.
- Once butter has melted, add in marshmallows and cook; stirring continuously until all marshmallows have melted. Remove from heat.
- Add in rice crispy cereal and stir to coat the cereal evenly.
- Spread into an even layer onto parchment or wax paper and let cool.
- Cut into stars using your cookie cutter and set aside.
- In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in 30 second intervals until melted.
- Dip one side of each star into the chocolate, return to the parchment paper, immediately add sprinkles and let cool.
- Store in an airtight container for 1-2 days. *see notes
Notes:
*Storage– I suggest only storing for 1-2 days before serving to fiends and family. They are still good to eat for up to 5 days, however, they wont be as fresh and tend to get hard as the days go by.
